Like all Telecommunication providers, we bill recurring charges in advance (Line Rental, ADSL, Mobile Cap plans).
If you connect you are charged a 35 cents flagfall
We charge in 30 second increments. For example if you make a call for 10 sec, you will be charged flagfall + 30sec charge.
PRO RATA in the 1st part month usage allowance examples
(Example 1) calculation of pro rata usage allowance using an example $29.95 monthly line rental access, example 30 days of a month, and if you are connected on the 15th day.
$29.95 divided by 30 days times by 15 days remaining equals $14.98
$29.95 / 30 x 15 = $14.98
This means in this first example, you’d have $14.98 (days of phone line access) for the remainder of the month. The addition of the recurring charge in advance $29.95, for your first month bill you will receive $44.93.
(Example 2) calculation of pro rata usage allowance using an example $10 monthly access, example 1000 MB of monthly access & example 30 days of a month, and if you are connected on the 21st day.
1000 MB divided by 30 days times by 9 days remaining equals 300 MB
1000 / 30 x 9 = 300
This means in this second example, you’d have 300 MB (megabytes of usage) for the remainder of the month, and any use after this is charged by the excess usage rate.
Is it an establishment charge for a call i.e. immediately your connection is made you will be charged the flag-fall & the clock will start counting your call time.
